This page will provide an overview of everything on the current iteration of the Controls Simulation Board, including both features in-use as well as deprecated features and reasoning behind deprecation.
Full Schematic:
Board Layout:
All of the components of this board can be found on the main page
Section | Schematic View | Layout View (attention to highlighted section) | What does this do? |
---|
Motor Contactors | | | - diodes indicate if motor contactors are on
- basically if the motor successfully went through its precharge sequence (Motor Precharge) and is on (Motor Main)
|
Array Contactors | | | - diodes indicate if the array contactors are on
- basically if the array successfully went through its precharge sequence (Array Precharge) and is on (Array Main)
|
Accelerator Pot | | |
- what the physical component actually looks like^
- as the name suggests, this is the potentiometer for the accelerator
- aka the simulation accelerator pedal
- we can simulate varying acceleration values with it by sliding the nob
|
Brake Button | | |
- what the physical component actually looks like on the board^
- as the name suggests, this is the button for the brake
- aka the simulation brake pedal
- we can simulate "stepping on the brake" by just pressing the button
|
Rotary Switch | | |
- what the physical component actually looks like on the board^
- for the simulation of the ignition sequence of the car
- Ignition sequence proceeds in following order:
- OFF
- LOW_V: Low voltage systems ON
- IGN_1: ARR_ON (array)
- IGN_2: MOTOR_ON
