Emergency and Fire Drills

Kari and Amy

• Emergency drill on Tuesday November 12th - same times as fire drills 10am and 2:15pm

• Plans on switching emergency drills and fire drills in the spring so everyone can practice inside and outside

• Start thinking about practicing whistles - we can get more whistles

• Cover window in Becca’s office, check windows in other spaces

• Erin to remind observers on Tuesday of emergency drill - follow classes to safe spaces

• EDC students coming week of 11/18 to lead small groups - Amy will reach out to instructor to get their lesson plans

• We should all be practicing Family Style Snacks! Marissa to come and do a training with us, undergrads, and grad students. It takes practice, training & explanation, and help from every adult in the classroom

• Classroom adults should not be in observer chairs

• Limits in our outdoor space - recognizing the difference in adult facilitated garden experiences and the children picking and disturbing plants

• Rope should be tethered into the mulch at the base of hill

• Stump border in Lg sandbox to be replaced over winter break with cedar stumps from Emily

Position Descriptions

Amy + Everyone

• Master teachers started the process of restructuring and adding to their position descriptions - created a shared doc to edit collaboratively

• Dayne and Zexi got together to begin the process of revising their descriptions

• Amy, Adriana, and Stephanie decided that their descriptions were pretty up to date, with them having been updated more recently. Amy will work on making hers even more encompassing.

• Kari and Erin gave Amy their revision ideas for Amy and Adriana to flush out.
