LMS Software

Highlevel

  • HighLevel is an all-in-one Sales and Marketing platform for online businesses. It acts sort of like a Customer Relationships Management (CRM) tool in the way that it aggregates a company’s users or customers, collecting their contact info and allowing companies to sell products to them. Basically, HighLevel allows a company to store information about existing customers and provide tools to create new leads or conversions.
  • For our project, we specifically used the Membership feature of HighLevel to create membership products for NACFA that could later be sold to users. These membership products contained educational modules and could be purchased through Stripe payment processing. In addition, we used the Automation feature to automatically send new members their login credentials after they purchase the course.
  • Pros
    • An all-in-one platform that includes a lot of functionality like Memberships, Sales Funnels, Automations, etc.
    • Doesn’t require expensive subscriptions for each feature
    • Has a pretty active community and a growing user-base, who create educational videos on YouTube or HighLevel’s own forum
    • Can be integrated with many plugins, including Stripe and Paypal for payments
  • Cons
    • Relatively new platform, so some functionality (like creating quizzes to check lecture understanding) are not developed yet
    • Also because it’s new, it’s not the most customizable platform (ie: Membership products only have two templates for look and feel)
    • Menu system is a little bit confusing, takes a while to understand where each feature gets edited and developed

ThriveCart Learn Plus  LMS

  • ThriveCart Learn is a learning management course platform built right into the ThriveCart ecosystem. There's no additional charge for using the Learn platform since it's only available to ThriveCart customers, and everything is 'unlimited' with respect to modules, lessons, students, etc.
  • Cons:
    • Relatively new made in 2021
    • Thrivecart logo very apparent when using the platform ad it will be integrated into the website
    • Must have a ThriveCart account to access
  • Pros:
    • Lots of great features
    • Takes a top-down approach, first creating the structure of the course, then filling in modules and lessons underneath each course
