Adobe Premiere Pro - Creating Title Clip

Adobe Premiere Pro - Creating Title Clip

Create a text layer in Adobe Premiere

Make sure the Timeline window is active (a blue outline will appear around the active window).

Move the timeline playhead to the location you wish to have the title appear.

You can always use the Selection Tool (v) to move the placement of the title.

From the menu bar, choose Graphics and Titles > New Layer > Text

The new text layer will be added to a new layer at the playhead position in the timeline.

And the default text "New Text Layer" will appear on the video in the Program Source window.

Double click on the text layer in the Timeline

This will open the Text Properties window and allow you to change the parameters of the font.

Within the Text Properties window you can change:

Text: Font Family, Size, Alignment, Tracking, Kerning, etc

Appearance: Color, Stroke, Background, Shadow, etc.

Align and Transform: Alignment (center, left, right, top or bottom),

                                       Position (X,Y), Scale, Rotate, Opacity
