How to Become a Senior Preceptor

How to Become a Senior Preceptor

  1. Be a great preceptor!  Be consistently punctual, always send in your attendance, communicate well with your Senior Preceptor, work well with your partner, contribute to your preceptor cohort creatively by developing study group activities, and commit to collaborative learning.
  2. Write a paragraph expressing your interest in becoming a Senior Preceptor.  Describe some of your relevant skills and experiences.  Email this to your Senior Preceptor by the date he/she specifies.
  3. Your Senior Preceptor will endorse your paragraph with a paragraph of his or her own – about YOU – and forward it to the PLUS program director, Leta Moser.
  4. The PLUS program director will contact you if you have been selected.  We do our best to match all great candidates with a PLUS-supported professor, however, program needs and supported courses change every semester.
