D.14 Participation in Review Committee Deliberations
Department chairs and deans do not vote but must be present for relevant discussions of each case as indicated below:
• Department chairs must be present for the BC/EC discussions.
• Deans in non-departmentalized colleges/schools must be present for the BC/EC discussions.
• Deans in departmentalized colleges/schools must be present for CAC discussions.
Department chairs and deans are expected to provide a summary of the BC/EC and/or CAC discussions, respectively, in their letters.
If the opinions expressed during the BC/EC meeting differ from the evaluations in the required BC/EC statements, the department chair/dean must also address these differences.
