A.3 Final Recommendation/Decision

The president of the University of Texas at Austin makes the final recommendation on promotion and tenure for tenure-track candidates. Tenure recommendations are subject to approval by the UT System Board of Regents. The president makes the final decision on promotion from tenured associate professor to tenured professor.
